But what truly distinguishes Duchess Travel is my depth of experience.

Having lived across multiple countries and spent recent years traveling nomadically (no, not in a VW combi!), my understanding of destinations is shaped by real experience, not surface knowledge. Years of exploration and the cultivation of trusted global relationships allow me to design journeys that move beyond the expected—rich in authenticity, seamlessly executed, and thoughtfully considered from beginning to end.

Our intention is simple: that you leave feeling enriched, delighted you came, and ready for future journeys together.

Duchess Travel, founded by me, Caroline O’Hara, was forged from a singular belief: travel is most meaningful when it is truly tailored—designed with intention around each traveller’s individual interests, rhythms, and passions. This philosophy sits at the heart of every journey I create.

As a privately owned boutique travel company, Duchess is reliably hands-on. When you join one of my personally designed small- group trips, I will be there.  Plumping pillows, making sure the table is in the best position, ordering cool refreshments and generally checking that everyone has just what they need.

If you prefer a private itinerary, be assured I will work closely with you, from our first conversation through to your return home, remaining directly contactable and personally invested every step of the way. This allows me to offer a level of care, attention, and discretion that is increasingly rare. And oh so valuable.
